The hedgehog is a welcome guest in many European gardens. They are a natural solution against harmful insects such as caterpillars and snails. Hedgehogs hibernate every winter. They build a comfy hole that is covered with a thick layer of leaves. To prepare for this hibernation, the hedgehogs gather for food as much as possible. For this they travel great distances, at least one kilometer per night.
